Golf community offerings in Dr. Phillips include Bay Hill and Orange Tree. Bay Hill offers a PGA tour quality course with lots of amenities where the “king” Arnold Palmer reigns, while Orange Tree offers the most difficult course in Central Florida with a low number of members. Homes in both communities will require some updating, but they have aged gracefully and many have taken steps toward renovation.
Orange Tree Country Club offers one of the most challenging courses in Central Florida. Tiger Woods trains here in the weeks leading up to the U.S. Open because of it’s narrow and challenging fairways. Many golfers will say that Orange Tree is one of Central Florida’s best kept secrets. Orange Tree is a large community that offers a challenging course with a low number of members and moderately priced homes.
Bay Hill Club and Lodge is home to the “king” Arnold Palmer and hosts an annual PGA event. Most of the top names make it to this event since it’s associated with Arnie. The club also offers a separate nine hole course called the “Charger” that is just as tough as the championship course.
